Lewis Library to Provide New Study Rooms, 24/7 Access

Starting July 6, UNTHSC students, faculty, and staff members will have access to Level 2 of the Lewis Library 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except for holidays and other campus closings. Numerous space renovations and system upgrades are being done to make this possible:

• New group study rooms will be available on Level 2. The Web Services staff members who previously occupied this area have moved to Level 4.



• Emergency phones have been installed that connect immediately to the UNTHSC Campus Police.



• Additional security cameras are being installed.



• The Library Circulation Desk is being enclosed.



• The collections that remained on Level 2 -- new books, test preparation books, audio books, popular films, and magazines -- have all been moved to Level 3.



• New doors have been added to secure Level 3.
