Reference librarians
can assist with your research by searching MEDLINE, CINAHL,
and more than 200 related databases. Requests may be
submitted in person, by phone, or electronically via the online
request form.
The information you
will need to provide the reference librarian includes a description
of the subject of your search, indicating the relations between
concepts. Specify any aspects that you would like included
or excluded. We usually retrieve 20-50 English-language
references with abstracts from the current (1996-present)
MEDLINE database. If you need something else, please
be specific.
MEDLINE searches
are done free of charge to UNTHSC faculty, students and staff.
For other users, there may be a fee for this service.

Searches performed in databases other than MEDLINE may incur
a charge--to all users. Most searches are done within
24 hours of receipt. Contact the reference department
for additional information.
