Services & Resources for Alumni
The Gibson D. Lewis Library is happy to offer the following services to alumni of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth.
- Personal Alumni Librarians - Librarians serve as liaisons to each academic unit. The liaison librarian assigned to your discipline can provide services tailored to your profession.
- Research Service - Our librarians will search the biomedical and health literature at your request. You may submit a request via our Ask a Librarian form, or by calling or faxing the Reference Office (800-687-5302, fax 817-763-0325). The fee for conducting a literature search is $15.00. read more >>
- Document Delivery - Copies of articles or chapters can be delivered to your door or electronically to your desktop. Items that are not in our collections can be acquired from external sources. Please use one of the forms provided on the Forms page to submit your requests online, in person, by fax, or by mail. This is a fee-based service; the base fee is $5.00 per item, but additional copyright or lender fees may apply. read more >>
- Instruction & Outreach - Lewis Library provides instruction and outreach services to alumni. As a member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, we provide classes describing how to effectively locate health information for both professionals and the community. read more >>
- Internet Resources - You can use this list of free, online resources to identify websites that can help meet your information needs.
- Library Card - UNTHSC alumni can receive a free library card that allows check-out a variety of materials during visits to the Library. We do not page available items or ship checked-out items.

Library Access - Alumni are welcome to visit during all Library service hours; please note that you will need to arrive before 9:00 P.M. and sign in with a photo ID. For current parking information, see the Visit the Library page. During your visit, you will have access to all of our print and electronic resources. You may bring a laptop computer or other mobile device to connect to the Internet, either wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable. To access the network, request a guest pass at the Service Desk.
