Off-Campus Access to Electronic
Resources
The remote
access options below are available only to University of North Texas Health Science Center students,
staff, and faculty members with an active network account and up-to-date security training. For more information, please see the library's Policy on Remote Access to Networked Electronic Resources.
Proxy Server
- Provides access to restricted library resources from outside the UNTHSC network.
- Integrated with library web pages -- you will be prompted to log in as needed.
- Log in with your HSC Network Account user name and password.
- Cookies must be enabled; the cookie is deleted when the browser is closed.
- MDConsult and RefWorks require an individual account and separate log-in. A free account can be created anytime you are on the campus network.
VPN
- Provides complete access to the UNTHSC network, including restricted
library resources.
- Requires download and installation of free VPN software provided by Information Technology Services.
- Needed only if you want to access files on the UNTHSC network.
