Request a Database
Search
Reference librarians
can conduct research for you by searching MEDLINE, CINAHL,
or many other databases. Requests may be submitted:
- By visiting the Reference Office (LIB-222) between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. on weekdays (excluding holidays and other campus-wide closings);
- By calling 817-735-2070 (local) or 800-687-5302
(toll free) during the same hours; or
- Using the online request
form.
You will need to describe the subject of your search, indicating the relationships between concepts. Please identify terms that might be useful and specify any aspects that you would like included or excluded.
In response to a request, we usually supply 20-50 references with abstracts from the current (1996-present) MEDLINE database, limited to English-language articles. If you need something different, please be as specific as you can in your request. Most searches are completed by the next working day.
This service is provided free of charge for UNTHSC students, faculty, and staff members. Other patrons may incur a fee; see the Service Fees page for more information.
