Global Health is a citation database covering all areas of the public health literature. With over two million records sourced from thousands of relevant journal titles, Global Health delivers comprehensive coverage of contemporary public health research worldwide.
While other databases may cover a particular subject within public health, such as the National Library of Medicine’s TOXNET database for toxicology information or Rand Texas Statistics for local public health statistics, Global Health’s coverage of the public health literature is wide-ranging and includes specialties such as epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, biostatistics, health promotion, and public health emergencies.
Global Health is available on the familiar EBSCOhost platform, which offers a number of powerful search features such as relevance ranking, dynamic subject filters, and integration with popular citation management tools. Users can also simultaneously search other EBSCOhost databases that are available from Lewis Library. Some full-text materials can be retrieved directly from the database.
Access Global Health from the database dropdown menu on the library homepage. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact the Library Research Services Office at 817-735-2070, in LIB-222, or via the “Ask Us” logo on the library website.
