Public Health Information for Practitioners (PHIP)

Target Audiences

The purpose of PHIP training is to equip the Public Health Practitioner with information tools that can be used in daily practice.   Public health workers operate in a wide variety of positions and workplaces.  Some of these areas include (but are not limited to):

  • Public health/school nurses
  • Physicians
  • Bioterrorism specialists & responders
  • Emergency responders, fire rescue workers, & paramedics
  • Health educators
  • Environmental health specialists
  • Occupational health therapists
  • Community planners
  • Disease surveillance specialists
  • County health department workers/officers
  • Judges and law enforcement
  • Epidemiologists
  • Public and academic librarians
