Online computer searching - Reference librarians can conduct research for you by searching MEDLINE, CINAHL, or many other databases. Requests may be submitted in person, by phone, by fax, or through the online request form.

A fee may be incurred for this service. Please see the Service Fees page for more information.

Research assistance - Librarians are available to assist users as they research the medical literature. The Reference Office is located on the 2nd floor of the library. Librarians are available from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. You may also request assistance via telephone at 817-735-2070 or 1-800-687-5302.  A request form is available on the website for evening and weekend use.

Location of factual information - Answers to specific questions are provided by the reference librarians using a variety of resources, including the library's reference and/or book collection, electronic sources, etc.

Citation verification - Contact librarians for assistance in completing missing information or verifying the accuracy of bibliographic citations.

Consumer health information - Medline Plus, an online resource from the National Library of Medicine, is an excellent place to start.  See our Consumer Health Subject Guide for many other recommended sources.  Our librarians are available to assist you in locating the health information you are seeking.

Library tours and orientation programs - Call 817-735-2070 to arrange a tour.

Library instruction - Library instructional staff provide a wide array of introductory, intermediate, and advanced classes related to library research. Subject-specific classes may be arranged upon request.

Outreach - Library staff promote medical and health information access to medical professionals and others who need information for research, patient care and general teaching and learning.
