UNTHSC students, faculty, and staff members can access e-books from anywhere with your EUID and password.

All of these e-books can be found in the Lewis Library Catalog; see the E-books page for searching tips and a quick search box.  In addition to the Library Catalog, many clinical e-books are accessible within mixed-format databases such as AccessMedicine, Clinical Key, and STAT!Ref, where the full text can be searched.

Because our e-books are designed for academic use, you may find that using them is much easier than the e-books available elsewhere:

  • You use them online, similar to our electronic journals.  No check-outs, downloads, or special readers are required.
  • In addition to standard formatting for desktop and laptop computers, many are formatted for use on mobile devices.
  • Some e-books -- like Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine, Netter's Clinical Anatomy,  and Robbins and Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease -- can be used by any number of patrons at the same time.  While some titles are limited to one user at a time, they become immediately available again when the user closes his or her session.

We hope you will enjoy the many convenient features of our e-books.
