ApplicationXtender Records Migration

Why are we migrating?

ApplicationXtender (AppXtender; AppX) is several upgrades behind and this software is no longer supported by the manufacturer. We needed a different solution for campus records.

Why are we migrating to Laserfiche?

Laserfiche has the ability to notify users when documents are ready for disposition, automate workflow and ensure long-term data preservation. These and other features are an improvement for our campus. Additionally, it is already in use by the Center for Human ID and UNTHSC Safety Office.

When is the migration happening?

Migration is expected to be completed by March 1, 2020.

Please contact Betty Shankle at Betty.Shankle@unthsc.edu if you have questions, or if you are using AppX and have not been contacted by Lewis Library staff regarding the migration schedule.
